Bat

Unread postby Southern Man » Thu Jul 11, 2013 1:51 am

I came into work yesterday morning and when I started to unlock the powdercoat building I noticed something on the door handle. It was a bat. Startled me  I was surprised how he was able to hang on to the smooth metal. I wasn't gonna pick him up, when I touched him, he opened his mouth and it didn't look pretty  I took a shovel and moved him underneath the sand dumpster in the shade. He stayed there until I left yesterday and was gone this morning. Here's a few pics....

I have been told that whenever you see a bat out in daylight in an odd place it likely has rabies... Just a scratch can infect a human. Be careful.

That is an animal I am not at all fond of, them and snakes just give me chills regardless of where they are.

There was a girl a few years ago that got scratched by a bat in Wisconsin while in church, she ended up getting rabies........she defied all odds and survived.
