When she said she felt its fur, I wonder if it just missed grabbing her! If that yote is getting that close, it might just try again, maybe with another kid.

Saw that video too and you beat me to posting it.

I agree with Mike.

They are pretty dang bold when they think they can take something.

I know they have been around when I’ve been out with my dog, as I saw them running away once at top speed. I’m fairly large and he’s as tall as a wolf, so I don’t think we were viewed as easy marks, but who knows.

Glad the girl made it out of there

Yeah when they replayed it, it looks like it was almost on her when she is not in full view where the porch is blocking the view, and she turns around at that moment. If she had kept running forward, it would likely have taken her down.

Yep. Crazy to think how not scared he was to do that in what looks like a populated neighborhood.

Pretty weird running around like that during the day in a populated area. Wonder if it has rabies or something else wrong with it? They better take it out before this happens again.

It’s not the first time I’ve seen something like this in places like Southern California. They are pretty bold because they live so close to people and are probably never pursued as a prey item. Not a lot of fear. Unlike the ones I saw on range land in KS.

And they are opportunistic killers. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a perfectly healthy animal.

Maybe. Either way it needs to die. It’s only a matter of time before something bad happens as it loses more fear around people.
