The Dogfather - A Prairie Dog Hunting Film

Unread postby seazofcheeze » Wed Jun 16, 2021 3:13 pm

I've been out prairie dog hunting a few times this spring. It's become a favorite activity of mine. I decided to have some fun with this edit  Let me know what you think!

Greasy, grimy, gopher guts.

It’s in the hole.

I commented on the YouTube side, but those are some darn good shots! That’s a mighty small target a long ways out, What guns/calibers/optics were you using?

It's definitely not easy shooting on the prairie when its windy, and the prairie dogs are too small to get a real accurate range with the rangefinder. But for those reasons, it's also REALLY good practice in real world conditions.

My main varminting rifle is a CZ 527 chambered in .204 Ruger. The scope is a vortex diamondback tactical 4-16x by 44mm.

Thanks. Yeah, that seems like a good challenge and a ton of fun.
