2021 CO Hunts

Unread postby Derbooze » Thu May 27, 2021 12:54 pm

The draw results are coming in! Looks like my dad and twin will be hunting 2nd season in units 64/65. My dad is hoping for both an elk and a mule deer. Looks like we get to tick another hunt off the bucket list! Who else is getting stoked?!

Congrats on the draw. Throw some tree stand gear in case you find a good wallow or pinch.

Thanks! You can bet I'll have my saddle and sick(s). Our plan is tentatively to hike in and camp so we can get deeper into it all.

Good luck with your hunt. Take and share a lot of pictures. Beautiful country.

My son drew cow elk, but struck out on deer tag. He will get to experience his first high country wall tent camp this fall.

If you have never backpacked in the mountains be extra careful. Things change quickly out here and many people get caught unprepared. It’s a good way to hunt but not exactly what you see on YouTube and tv. Good luck and smack a toad.
