For sure break your boots in well.
( Two pairs.)

And don't forget to break in several pairs of socks too.

I replaced boots this winter. Lots of miles are planned and bought Crispi. Big improvement over my worn out Pronghorn.
Little details are better like laces lock you in better. And the boot opens enough that you don't stretch anything to slip on or off. Ankle support is there without being uncomfortable.
I'm due to hit the workouts again too.

I love my Crispi boots.
So comfortable you forget they are hiking boots. Worth every penny.

I ordered a arrow fletching jig and all the tools to change and fix my arrows.
Changing my vanes from blazers to AAE Stealth Max.
I have 2 reasons for the change.
Arrows seem loud and to try to get a more stable arrow in flight.
Arizona EZ fletch mini Max fletching jig

Well my buddy that is supposed to come out for his first bow hunt may have to cancel. Shoot, I may get to hunt for about 5 days before I leave for Alaska. His loss is my gain.

I have clearance to 85 yds. Then it’s really close.
Pretty happy with my rig.
Excited for elk season

Vacation time scheduled. (Nice).
Gear and equipment reviewed. (Always fun!)

Off to a nice start.

Any update on your activities around elk hunting techniques? (Camping locations, hunting approach, calling, videos, etc.)

No sponsors. No camera crew. No team. Just me and my bow. And that’s the way I prefer it.

I took my calls with the other day to start practicing again.
It sounded like a dying elk
Yuck

Elknut’s Playbook is a great resource. The call cd/ mp3 is amazing for practice. You hear the sound and what it means. Worth the money. Dirk Durham’s YT channel also has good information on calling.

Had to upgrade my rest on my bow.
My trophy ridge limb driven stopped coming up for the 5 th time so I decided I’d had enough.
I put a Hamskea Hunter Pro on.
Very impressed and should benefit me in Colorado and else where in the coming years.
