On the road just outside of Denver. Took a nice little nap.
If all goes well we’ll be chasing elk by noon

Well,
Another slow day.
Got a tip on s bull snd 4 cows feeding in a hayfield last night and tonight.
That’s the plan for tomorrow night.
Tomorrow morning we’re going to glass the field snd after that check another spot.
Then hit the field around 5 pm.
Good luck everybody

Watched 2 bulls and 2 cows feed in a field on private tonight.
Tomorrow morning is it for us. Trying a different spot above some green hayfields. They should be coming back to bed. See what happens
They still aren’t talking

Came down off the mountain this morning. What a long, grueling week! Flying home in the morning. Took the first 3 days to find them. Fourth day we were on them but got busted. I sent an arrow over a cows back that deflected off a branch

Had fun though. What a workout!!!

Hunted this morning. It was a tough week. Heard maybe 4 legit bugles. If they aren’t talking it becomes a lot tougher and they were not interested in calling nowhere we were. Talked to a few others hunting and that was the concensus from everyone not hunting private.
We had fun and are already planning for next year

That’s elk hunting! Hope you had a great experience this season! Time to start planning for next year. Good luck this deer season, too.

No bugling for us either. We did get into the elk. My buddy missed one. Had one blow out that heard him drawing at 25 yards, and I made a mistake on another setup that put one just out of range. Really fun hunt but no success this year.
