Next on my list is 50"+ Green Bay Ski
Sweet, I know who to PM if I end up in the Green Bay area next year! Sorry HH!
No problems Muddy. Will be hard pressed to catch me out trolling with the "zoo" on Green Bay. Big fish or not.....just not my thing at all. I will say it's something a guy should try at least once....I just laughed and shook my head the whole time. Reminded me of bumper cars at the theme parks.

Re: What is your dream fish?
Hodag - Would prefer to catch one casting... just don't think it will have the girth of a GB fish Trolling into darkness or out in the bay is not always bumper boats. Depends on time of year and where you are fishing. The walleye fishing in GB is hands down some of the best in the country for trophy class fish.
I start in lower GB around late March, then, head North along Eastern and Western shorelines. The bite is good for trophy pre-spawn eyes all the way up until May.

Re: What is your dream fish?
My dream fish USED to be a 50 pound or larger striped bass.
http://www.striperspace.com/about_striped_bass.html
Ive caught many many many 40+ pounders, but a 50 is like a 20 point buck... there just aint that many.
4 years ago one of my good budds got a big boat for offshore and we fished the chesapeke bay in the spring for the migrating stripers, and va beach ocean in the winter when the fish are there.
We started offshore fishing 3 years ago in Ocean City MD, and let me say... its awesome. Ive beceom a decent mate, I can right ballyhoos good enough to catch fish.
We have caught blue marlin, white marlin, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, and tons of dorado.
My dream fish is a fish that jumps, has a bill, and the length and weight of a trophy. Blue, White , Striped, or Black Marlin is by far the coolest fish in the sea.

I still want that striper... and fish for them locally every spring.... but saltwater fishing is awesome, everyone should try to go sometime.

Your right on the girth for GB vs northern WI fish. GB is hands down the best waters in WI for heavyweights. Now if a guy is willing to travel out of state........
Yes, we can then rival and beat the weights of GB fish, even casting for them.

10 lb walleye.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Re: What is your dream fish?
My brother's co-worker took him out trolling on Lake Erie this past summer and according to his co-worker, they had a "decent" day which included pulling in these 3 hogs with one of them breaking the 30" mark:
He also made the comment that those are big walleyes, but not monsters compared to some that he has caught
For me, I would love to catch a big muskie while working a top-water lure. Those things are just incredible when they strike.

Flatheads! I've caught trophy's of just about every freshwater sport fish including 2 muskies over 50" but nothing gets my blood flowing like the sound of my clicker screaming from a slob flathead.
