Flatheads in the Edisto River

Unread postby Jesse Miller » Wed Jun 02, 2021 10:47 pm

I recently started putting out limb lines or bush hooks for catfish in the Edisto River. It's been pretty exciting so far. Especially with an eleven year old daughter and nine year old son. Caught a 5 lb blue the first night and a 27 lb flathead on the second trip. My last line had something big on it and when my son started pulling it up we had about a 6 ft. gator. I have it on video but I'm not sure how to post a video here.

Do you have a big catfish fry on occasion? Catfish is delicious.

Lol. We'll, I'm planning on it now. I'm sort of new to catfish but my wife fried some this week and it was awesome. So mild you could hardly tell it was fish. Life is to short to eat store bought meat!

That photo with your kids is great. The fish is almost as big as them. Congrats
