So i have a couple of questions or i guess just more curious of what yall do or think.
1. Do you eat bass? I have in the past but i really dont fish for them.
2. Would you eat fish out of a farm pond that cattle use to cool off in? The fish seem really healthy but im leary of eating fish in a pond that livestock use.

Re: Farm ponds and bass
I grew up fishing small stock tanks for bass. I ate a ton of em. Stock tanks can over populate and stunt the fishes growth if not managed. Bass are a good eating fish it’s just they are the #1 freshwater sport fish. That’s the only reason Imo why u don’t see them being hauled around on stringers at the lake. No worries about eating fish from livestock ponds get out there and get a mess.
Life is hard; It’s even harder if you are stupid.

I'd worry more about agricultural (herbicide, fertilizer, etc) run off from a pond's watershed than if livestock are using it. I've eaten tons of bass and panfish from ponds cattle cooled off in.
