A better way to secure a jig and minnow, a classic presentation for walleye, bass etc.

Huh... never thought of that for a live one. I do that with plastics. I guess I usually slip bobber with minnows trying to keep them alive longer to keep ‘em wiggling.
You ever try that Scott?

Yes I've tried it... I was never aggressive with that first slide all the way up to the jighead though, something I intend to do better with.

I’ll always double hook when I’m jogging with live bait. I’ll usually bring my hook thru the side of the minnow instead of the back tho. That white belly flashing seems to imitate and wounded bait fish and you’ll be able to get strikes even when the bite isn’t so hot.

Nice. I’ve never hooked this way. Always double hooked and then out the top 1/3rd on the side. But I like this weedless option better.
If you aren't green and growing, you are ripe and rotting

I like to stick it up and out between their eyes - there is a sweet spot that doesn't kill them.
