Had a coyote wander past at 15 yards tonight while bow hunting... Missed an easy standing shot. :?
Oh well, I will get him in January with the rifle ;)

Did you hit something or was it just a straight miss?

I drew ahead of time because of how quiet it was last night and had the bow back for over a minute when the shot presented itself. It felt like I punched the release a little rather than squeezing and pulled the shot to the right. The arrow hit the snow inches from his nose and with a lumenoc on, it made that coyote come unglued. He might still be running.

Never had a yote in bow range for me to try a shot. Don't know if that is a good or bad thing because I know they are around.

Just goes to show there is no such thing as an easy shot with the bow in sub-zero temps.

Yep... I figure his days are numbered. ;)

I generally get 4 or 5 shot opportunities a year while deer bow hunting and score quite often. I think its because of being mobile. If you think a deer is smart, coyotes make mature bucks look stupid in my opinion.

When I missed the 1st thing I thought of was your hunt for the 8 point when you missed on that snowy cold November day while I was filming... 8-)
