Coyote weapon

If you were to get a coyote gun, what do you think that you would get? AR in a .223 or something else.

Name the caliber and the specific gun. Something that wouldn't break the bank though. Let's say under $1,000-$1,200 including the scope.

Great topic. Been toting the shotgun, but been thinking of getting something else. But I am waiting to get better at predator hunting before I get a coyote only gun.

Awesome Solocam.

Been thinking of putting a black gun on my wish list but my next rifle will probably be a Ruger Frontier (discontinued) in 7mm-08. This will not be specifically for coyotes. Want another rifle and I think with just playing with my bullets I can easily switch from deer to coyotes.

This has the forward mounted scope and is a carbine, but is still supposed to be a tack driver out to 300yds. I have really started to get interested in the black guns as I flip through the pages of predator extreme.

I bought the savage model 10 xp predator last year and its an awsome rifle for the money... It's a heavy barrel, heavy action rifle in a variety of short action calibers and comes with a bushnel scope and the whole deal is camo... The package runs about $800 and I don't think you will touch another rifle that's as accurate for less than a grand and I'm talking bolt actions... You have to spend quite a bit on an AR (1500+) to get em as accurate as a solid bolt action that can be had for $600-800...

I'm very happy with mine in .243 its a tack driver and those accu-triggers are sweet... The scope is aright but nothing impressive which was to be expected for a package deal... The scope is the one thing about this rifle I would like to upgrade

I have two primary yote guns one is a Rock River AR 5.56/.223 the other is a ruger bolt .223. I seem to always take my AR and really enjoy it for coyotes.

My favorite Coyote/Predator gun is a standard weight bbl. med action Savage bolt action in .223. Plenty of power/accuracy and it is a handy package to carry. I have a heavy bbl. stainless Savage in .223 but relegate it to prairie dog shoots and target work. It is just too heavy to lug around when calling coyotes.

I just picked up a Stag #3 in 5.56/.223. I'm going to put a Nikon P223 3X32 on it.....and hope I can coax up a few yotes.
