I shoot 3 inch 6's out of my Remington Express Magnum. I would should 3.5's but I take my family. My mom doesn't use my gun because its too big for her, I'm saving money by buying 3 inch.

3 inch 5's. My gun will take the 3 1/2" shells, but my shoulder doesn't really like it.
But this spring I will be shooting 25" CX200's instead! ;)

3" #5's seem to pattern the best out of my Rem 870 express.

my set up is almost identical to venisonassassins except I'll be shooting 4's otherwise the gun and shell length is the same 870 wingmaster with crew in turkey choke and remington nitro 3" turkey loads

3.5" #5's out of a mossberg.

You can really reach out with it. It patterns pretty well out to 60 yards. I shot one tom that I stepped off at 73 paces. He dropped in his tracks. I wouldn't normally shoot that far, I misjudged in a hurried situation thinking he was a touch over 60.

Before I went bow only, my preference was 3 1/2 inch number 6 Hevi shot. It is a cloud of pellets!

I like 6's. The trick is to have less ounces of shot to powder. This will give you less pellets, but more velocity. 3" is good for a 12 gauge. 12 gauges weren't built to be 3 1/2" originally so you really don't gain much except a sore shoulder.

Really I prefer a Beman 340, and a good fixed head.

Hevi-shot. 3 1/2 inch #5
If you haven't tried hevi-shot you should. It really knocks them down for good, no flopping around.

Mossburg 500 with extra full choke and a scope, and I shoot winchester Supreme 3" 6 shot. I hope to be feeding a turkey a slick trick and a gold tip 5575 though!
