I have learned to quit scouting bedding areas by about late April or maybe a little later if green up is delayed. This time of the year the deer need to be unpressured to make sure they stick to their normal movements from now until opening day of bow season. It doesn't take much to move them to a different area.

That depends on how desperate a person is... Personally I do most of my "bed" scouting in the 1st 4 months of the year

Yep you don't really want to be scouting now but if you have to you have to. At this time of year I might prefer to just wait it out and scout in season with the stand on my back and setup on fresh sign if you find it.

I walked a new farm yesterday.... whenever the opportunity arrises, I take a peak. If it is something I have had permission on in the past I like to walk most March, April, and May. Glad yesterday was not as hot as today = heat index of 105! :?

I did a good 6hrs of work on my dads property yesterday. It was super hot, but stuff has to get done. If I get the go a head, Ill feather edge a 1/4 mile of his woods yet this year before season. Ill be scouting public land as long as I have to, till I'm confident I have located some good spots. Ya know if I ruin those spots, big deal. At least Ill know where they are at next year.
