Since the deer I.D. wasn't going anywhere I decided to edit this and just post the hero shot with the mount pics.

Why would we know these bucks? They aren't records, soo....Did someone on TV shoot them? Are they 2010 kills? I looked at the "lineup" for the Beast, and I couldn't make a match on either of them....Hmmm...
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

I never would have guessed, some times the slightest angle change and those racks look totally different.

In the video, you say that you're only hunting that public spot when you shine a nice buck in the bean field. I would imagine that this wasn't the buck you were specifically targeting and that there was a bigger scoring buck with this one in the field the night before?

I was targeting some larger bucks, but this particular marsh had been over hunted because of the WDNR deeming it a "CWD" area and allowing over harvest of deer resulting in less good bucks to go around. Prior to shooting that buck I went nearly 3 weeks without seeing a single shooter while on stand.

Sometimes it just isn't a walk in the park. LOL Bowhunting is 95 % hunting 5% getting.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
