Like casper I have heard them gobbling early in the morning during the fall in SW WI! The landowner emailed me a pic of a tom in full strut out in a food plot full of hens in February!

Birds will gobble and strut all year, but only in the spring and early summer is it for breeding purposes. The rest of the year it is to show dominance over other Gobblers.

Saw a group of 12 jakes this morning. Up until now, they have been all grouped up around here.
