Source for a large topo map

Unread postby Horizontal Hunter » Thu Jul 08, 2021 2:05 am

I’m looking to have a large topo map made for a private property I hunt and I was looking to see who some of you have used for large maps.

I’m specifically looking for something 24”x36” that I can hang on the wall to mark treestand/cam/food sources on to help me see the big picture. The only one I have any experience with is USGS.

Thanks,

Bob

Mytopo.com can make a custom map for you.

Otherwise - if you have access - you can use a plotter and print off a topo map free from USGS.

Each of the above options can be customized to include different features. (Aerial, gps grid lines, relief shading, etc.)

I've bought custom ones from http://www.mytopo.com before. You can center the maps where you want and choose from topo, aerial or a hybrid of the two. I get the waterproof outdoor maps, but they offer laminated versions to write on with dry erase markers.

I once took aerial imaging saved on a flash drive to a local print shop. They were able to blow it up to a larger size and laminate it. They did a very good job for what seemed to be a reasonable price. I would think you could to the same with a topo.
