New Bow Did Well

Unread postby Basinboy » Thu Feb 18, 2021 11:02 am

I bought me a birthday present back in July last year. Ordered a Primal Tech Longbow and man what a beauty!
I made a late season trip to some new public land here in Louisiana. Our season just closed on February 15th so we get to hunt late and the second rut was kicking in. I found good sign on the first day and made a good shot on a young deer on my first hunt that evening on a red oak (Nutall) dropping acorns. Missed a Giant buck pushing 160” at 23 yards a couple days later. Got twisted up in my safety line trying to turn to shoot behind my tree, top limb of my longbow was in some branches, bottom limb hitting the tree, just put me in panic mode and I rushed my shot without picking a spot!
A couple days later I had a young 8pt come in earl in the morning to get some of them acorns. Really good trip and I shall return to that place next season. God bless Everyone
