Found that fine yesterday. Sun was a killer...couple of the saplings are rubbed. The biggest to the right was rubbed this year and year(s) prior.

I'm guessing maybe a rut bed. Does bed right below that bed. Its pretty high on a knob. Not far below the top of the hill. I don't think it's wind specific. More visual. They can watch the road and trails from there. 2nd year in a row I've found the deer in that same spot. I guess the buck could bed there all the time. Between his advantages and the does below him....it's pretty hard for most danger to get up on them. Except me. Lol. I've learned how to sneak around the hill and sneak up through the boulders. Yesterday the buck busted out early ..I didn't know he was up there. The does were dumb enough to stick around. I was about to drop one....then I remembered I talked to a guy hunting with someone else. They haven't seen a deer in a couple years hunting right near there. I decided I didn't need a doe bad enough to alert them to where the deer are. I can go back later if I want to take one.

Now that I have the buck and doe bedding marked, I can probably drop in on them easily.

I think this bed was mostly used in the summer and/or early fall. Was on public about 20 ft from the edge of a 6 foot wide creek and about 300 yards from a private land food plot.

Ox bow rut bed, down wind from rub line, doe bedding, deer trails, and any potential predators/humans following the river bottom. Tree fell perpendicular to river, bedding in between tree top & trunk/brush. Noticed what looked like a rub on part of dead branch right behind bed. Verified with hair in bed.

Not sure about this one, 5 yards from picture above in marsh, couldn't find hair but was off the trail a bit that I wouldn't think a buck would've gone that far out of his way to make a rub but who knows.
