Setup details?
How heavy an arrow?
What kind of broadhead?
Did the broadhead break bone or break on bone?

Did you get into one lung at all?

Long story short (not sure if there is enough room to type everything lol). Spotted him bedded with a doe. Put a stalk on him for 3 hours to cover maybe 100 yards while belly crawling, and got to within 30 yards. I could see the doe but not him, although I could smell him so i knew i was close. Doe got up and walked past me at 20 yards. He got up and followed her. Thats when the shot was taken. Fast forward to morning. Me and my brother got out in the area we last seen him. Slowly working our way to the last sighting of him bedded. He jumped up and stood at 35yrds across a small canal. I had no shot through the brush. He took off and I ran after. I crossed the canal went through brush and seen him doing the same as night before and he bedded down. I closed the distance and was able to finish. Didnt get to look at the bed or trail because my son texted and said he got his buck. So we took care of him quick and went to help with his. We were back at the house by 8am with both deer. The arrow broke the upper leg. With the arrow only going in about 3 inches total. Bright blood. No bubbles. No damage to the heart. Shooting a bowtech carbon night 70lbs 29 inch draw Shooting carbon express mayhem 350's with 100 grain muzzy mx3. We both ended up getting our biggest bucks each! Definitely a hunt we always remember!! I do give props to jr. He has now shot 2 bucks with a bow. 1 with gun plus 2 doe with gun. Way better than me at his age lol. I believe that the beast and hunting public have helped alot of people whether public or private including both of us. I let him scout his own set-ups and he hunts based off of wind and thermals. This is his first private land deer. But he learns alot. I told him I'm very proud of him and what he has accomplished, and that he's molding into a stone cold killer. His drive and passion is going to take him far and I see good things for his future. He drives me to do better!
