New to milkweed

Unread postby Cstark001 » Fri Oct 09, 2020 2:15 pm

May be a dumb question, but tonight when I let milkweed go from my stand it basically went straight to the ground. It went maybe 1 foot in front of where I dropped it and settled right almost completely straight down. A buck came out about 80 yards away from me and was acting kind of spooky. With the milkweed falling basically straight down is it possible he smelled me still? Or was it something else spooking him? Like I said probably a dumb question but I'm learning lol

Was it fluffy, or still wet?

Did you check it just when you got there, or throughout the sit?

It was fluffy. It didnt drop fast, just slowly settled straight down. It was very calm and still. And I checked in before and during the sit.

Did he cross your path where you walked in?

I try to get the brown seed off of it before I drop it. Even then I have still had some just kind of slowly drift down.
