I have been really getting into buck tracking the past few years here in northern Wisconsin, I put together a film of one of my favorite hunts of all time! If you get a chance, check it out!!

Good Video. I killed one buck tracking in southern WI and loved it! I hunt some up north but haven't tried tracking up there yet.

I like it! I shot a nh buck tracking 2 seasons ago. It's by far my favorite way to hunt but we don't always get snow during season in southern Nh.

We don't get snow regularly enough in PA anymore. But any time we do, I try tracking. You can learn a TON by following a buck around.

Good way to scout unknown lands too. That's often what I end up doing. Driving somewhere I've never been and parking the truck and walking with the gun.

After a long archery season, once I have a gun in my hand, I am often walking. Usually still hunting because the lack of snow.

Forgive me but I didn’t watch, my data is limited. But I’m just not impressed with tracking on snow, maybe it’s cause I’m from down south where we don’t get any. But my fascination comes from using ones mind over there legs. Track one down on dry land with a bow and I would be impressed. Maybe ignorance, but I don’t see what’s so hard about following a track in the snow. How come trackers always use rifles? I think it’s one of those things a selective few get satisfaction out of. Much like hunting a box blind positioned over a food plot with a sniper rifle. Highly effective under certain conditions. But the majority of hunters can’t relate.
