Had to break it up into pieces to get it in but it was a good one!

Enjoyed this one! I really related to the part you guys shared when you went and hunted somewhere with better deer hunting than your home turf for the first time and found out you didn't suck as bad as you thought  I hunt a few hours north of where you guys were last year and while we have a good number of deer, we lack bucks with real antler growth. 80 inch deer are regularly shoulder mounted around here. That's not to say great deer don't exist they're just ghosts. The first time I hunted a couple counties away, my mind was blown. Then it was super blown the first time I hunted out of state. That moment I realized I didn't suck was such a relief, made hunting my home turf more fun because now I have the confidence to know I'm not doing it wrong.

It was nice to have the different perspectives going at the same time, too. Shows that what works for one guy isn't gospel, hunt your hunt and do what works for you and your area.
