Got all my gear ready and good to go for tomorrow! Driving out at 4am to Wyoming for a rifle mule deer hunt with 10 other guys! Looking forward to 7-10 days of hard hunting.

My sit last night, 2 small bucks sparred on the far side of the slough grass across the way for the last 40 minutes of shooting. Fun to watch.

Had a good hunt last night. Two bucks came out and had a little sparring contest at 18 yards. Was really hoping the big guys would come out as there are two real good ones in the same area. They both hit the licking branch and then squared off before walking off. Too bad one was a 3x3 and the other a small 4x4. Still fun to watch.

Well.. Tonight will be my first hunt of the year. I was tied up with my sister's wedding all weekend, but am good to hunt the rest of the week after work. We had a 25 degree temp drop today, but its putting the rain down pretty good. Oh well, I'm think they will still move pretty good, especially if the rain slows down a little.

Good luck man!

I have a late meeting tonight, but we’ll see what the wind does the next couple of days to determine which areas to hit.

Thanks, Dave! Being a teacher, I'm lucky enough to be off at 3:30 everyday. the first few weeks of the season I have plenty of time to get out pretty much every day.

I'm heading to my farm in about 35 minutes. I just have one of those feelings about tonight. Got a mature lopsided 8 point hanging out that I'm gonna put an arrow in if given the chance. Don't know why, but it just feels like something good is gonna happen this evening. Hope that I'm right.

Made it out last night to a spot I scouted a couple years ago first area I was hunting from the ground when some bird hunters blew up the area!!! So I made an on the fly adjustment with 1 1/2 left went to the other side of the property got onto some really good sign, ended up having a small doe come to twenty yards knowing something was wrong the whole time eventually she whiffed me but great experience being able to adjust from the bird hunters and finding a good area for the future! Good luck to everyone tonight!!
