Tremendous buck Kickapoo! Congrats!!!

Just got settled in, about 200 yards closer than I was yesterday, still on the ground. Similar wind, just a little more gusty. If those bucks do what they did yesterday I should be good.

Been in the tree about 20 minutes. White oak stand in thick buckthorn. New propertie for me so I'm just trying to figure it out a little. Good luck to all that are out

Kickapoo wrote:Been watching Dan’s videos the last few years and definitely gained many insights on where to find the big ones. Bought some beast stick minis, a lone wolf assault and decided to give this public land thing some effort(I also hunt private but something about a public land buck intrigued me). After moving trails cams several times, I was able to locate one worth hunting here in southeast Wisconsin. Checked the trail cam and went after him two days later. It was shocking to actually see him at 6:10 pm last night on the edge of some heavy cover. Got a 38 yard shot off, passed through both lungs and he didn’t make it far. Took some serious work getting him back to the truck but well worth it. 178”.
25”, 26” main beams. G1-8”, G-2-12”,G-3-10” on one side. 18 3/4” inside. Still in shock

JUMBO! Congrats man, monster!

Just had 2 people walk almost directly underneath me taking a nice evening stroll talking loudly. Not sure what to do at this point. Stick out the last 30 minutes or so or pack up real quick and use there disturbance as cover to do a quick speed scout on my way out. This is a property I dont know very well either....

I had a similar situation the other night. Opted to scout my way out and I’m glad I did. The sign that was there a year ago was non existent now.
