Weather is warm. Some fresh sign nearby. But from young bucks. But that's ok. I'm not being picky. See what th next hour and 8 minutes brings. Opps. Just had a deer close and blow at me.

We shot him from the boat as we floated a river. It was an awesome hunt. I have a video but there’s too much swearing to put it on here....we were excited. Lol

Dude that’s awesome!

Might have to show me the video out ice fishing this year

Ice fishing, I'm in, where we headed?

Absolutely guys!!.....I actually didn’t shoot him. I was paddling and watched my buddy shoot him. I think I’d have rather watched him shoot him than shoot him myself. He’s been struggling a bit in the big woods near Tomahawk so I told him to come down to SE WI and hunt. It worked out pretty well.

Still hunted my way to fresh sign in the back of this property, saw a pile of does in here Friday. 17 yards off a scrape that wasn't here then.

Well I came in to hunt a suspected bedding area. The good news is that it is indeed a bedding area. Unfortunately it’s a coyote bedding area... had 2 maybe 3 come out where I was expecting a buck to be. I guess one could still be further up the ridge, but My confidence in this spot is gone. And man did it look good.

Congrats to the killers!

So I left for work early this morning but was still late  got eyes on a SLOB with 2 does. Was going to go for some redemption on the drop tine, but decided to go after this buck since the wind was terrible for my apple tree set.

He moved a ways from where I saw him and I ended up jumping him and a spike in the dumbest of spots. I got within 30 yards of them. Pretty sure the doe is holed up in some known bedding and he doesn’t want to leave her.

He stopped in a low spot in the cattails and I got a real good look. I’m confident he’s 150”... he’s a ten with a split g2. Huge frame.

I think he’s still in the cattails 75 yards away waiting me out.

Thought I had a pheasant rustling behind me but it’s a spike at 25 yards. Suppose I better get off my phone now
