Congrats Big burner! And go get em fellas!

Not sure if I’ll be able to make it out this week or not. Time change really puts a damper on things!

Hunted this past weekend in SW Wisconsin. Saw multiple does being chased by bucks. This is my first year out in this time of year, its super exciting. I have Nov 11 - 15th off for hunting because I thought that would be best for deer activity. Should I move these days up in the month next year? I know that's a loaded question but seeing what general consensus is. TIA

Ground pound hunt this morning on a thick power line Bench . Winds picked up around 8:00 so decided to go scout / sit the next ridge . Half ways up the ravine , I see a rack on the bench above me . He turns and quarters too me at 20 yards ....the wind gusts and he busts me . Needed about 5 more yards to clear some brush . Let the games begin . Probably the 3rd biggest buck Ive see while hunting . Super high chocolate racked monster . There was a fresh scrape at the bench where he was . Fresh pellets in it . No good trees so I made a blind above it on the hill . Had a doe and button walk by and It worked well . This scrub came by later and never picked me . I know the big one will probably not be back on that point in daylight but it looked too good not to find a set up . I’m going to find a setup on the next ridge over for tonight . Start setting cams out if the spot looks right . Just hoping he ran into a doe before he left the county .

I’m with you! This is my first time hunting this time of year as well. I have the 6th through the 11th but am considering on changing that, due to the forecasted warm weather.
I hunt, I fish and I sing guitar solos in songs.

Winding the youngster down for a nap and then hitting the woods. Checked some cams a bit ago around home where the deer have reappeared and had been no sign of a decent buck all season. Got 1 maybe 2 on cam last night middle of the night and right before sunup. Also had a pic of a doe with her mouth wide open. I’m gonna hunt near the homeplace as I’m guessing he’s not far from this doe right now.

Nice kill BB

Sounds like everyone is on them this morning! I'm cooped up in my classroom today, but will get out tomorrow and Saturday this week, time change put a damper on my after school hunting. I leave for Indiana next Monday, so I'm looking forward o that.

Sitting at the base of my tree. Eating a sandwich before I make a move

The best sandwiches of the year are had out deer hunting! I think the sandwich bag has called in nearly as many deer as a grunt haha.
It only takes 15 seconds for the hunt of a lifetime.

Finally found a good setup this morning. Found a line of scrapes that looked like they were still smoking and bumped a 3x3 while scouting. Got set up in the saddle at 9:00 on a good rut funnel about 100 yards from scrapes. 10:00 the 3x3 comes back through but let him walk. At 11:40 this guy comes through at 11 yards. Double lung and watched him fall. Got in two sits and planned for a week. First time in this area and couldn’t be happier.
