Same tree different night. Last night still stings. I could hear the big deer from last night work off after close. Continuing to grunt, snort wheeze, and rake brush. All the while listening to another buck chasing and grunting out in the marsh. Never had much luck getting on the same mature deer 2 nights in a row but we’ll see. I probably should have shot him last night at 50.
Haven’t been in tree for 5 minutes and had a small buck come by looking for love. And currently I have a neighbor...

He had a pretty bad limp last night but he still had enough pnv to chase a doe. I should probably put him out of his misery.

I’m on the ground I think I snuck in clean. The wind is staying true...mostly. This will be a thermal play and timing of when this buck shows up will be key. I have my doubts...but I’m still confident he can be killed here. The good news is that I’m on the ground and can move around pretty easily.

Good luck guys!

Kyle don’t ever regret passing a 50 yard shot. It’s easy to botch a shot half that far. Biting your trigger finger isn’t easy so props to you for that.

Well a solid 2 yr old ,high racked 7 came in from the open timber , stopped 50 yards behind the scrapes . Wind swirled and he jetted . Hoping this calms before dark .

Had a good hunt this morning. Nice 9 pt 3 yr old at 15 yds. Who keeps making hills steeper every year?

Heard grunting and snort wheezing behind me. A 2 year old cane out. Assuming there’s something else in there

Glad you guys are having some action! I’ve been all over.
Putting the miles on but everywhere I go the signs gone cold. It’s like these day gone deer disappeared.

Wannabe like dan I hope you get good results when you take up the trail!

Never laid eyes on him. Heard him causing a scene but never showed. East winds tomorrow will push me out of there

I saw a bunch of deer but not the one I wanted. Swirling wind got me. The thermals never really kicked in. This ground hunting stuff isn’t easy but it’s very cool.
