Good luck to everyone out! Kind of regret punching my tag last night with how beautiful the conditions are today and things are heating up in SE WI.

After last nights fiasco, I got about four hours of sleep before I had to go to work, drove the deer to the processor, I went and found the kayak and then started my 3 1/2 mile journey along the river and through the lake after having to stop at where I put the buck in the kayak last night to grab my jacket that I left out there that had my wallet in it. I must’ve slipped in there quietly but made a little too much noise on my way out because I had some thing bedded along the edge of the cat tails and it slowly spooked out of there. Now that my archery tag is filled, I’ll probably just spend some time this fall hanging cameras and seeing how the box move in relation to pressure

Decided against going back to the buck from last night. With such a calm night the thermals were going to kill me. Planning on going back tomorrow. Just got set up in the leeward upper 1/3 of a saddle. Took forever to get here and set but I'm in. Passed one hunter hunting a large community scrape in the bottom of the draw on my way up. Passed some really good sign down low but I'm betting its mostly after dark. Good luck to everyone out

I would shoot a doe or a nice 2.5+ buck.
That being said, No deer killed yet.

However, just had a chance at YET ANOTHER 1.5! I swear, young bucks are everywhere this year.
I hunt, I fish and I sing guitar solos in songs.

I thought I was the only one that was happening to. Good luck out there!

I'm 46 years old. I've hunted for 33 years. 2x in my life I have seen a PA giant. Tonight was one of those nights. What an experience.

Other than breaking my way through about an 1/2" of ice with the kayak, I'm all set up.
Opening day of rifle here, 19° with a NE wind 18-22mph. Checked a cam that's situated on a trail exiting the area and the 7x5 is still using it as of yesterday.

New set next to the apple tree. Does have a couple little scrapes on it. (Top middle of pic) The ten is on cam at 2:30 this morning. Haven’t got to check the whole card because my reader keeps kicking me out

Got bedding a few hundred yards west, about 600 yards east, and also right next to me in the cattails

Dating the fat chick for sure. Landowners shop is 67 yards away ;) will absolutely take a doe tonight.

Set up both for tonight and tomorrow morning on the south side of a doe bedding area. And I mean I’m right in the crack.

Saw a nice 3yo and a few does and fawns in the distance...

I “chased” the does out of here by gently bumping some turkeys through the area and letting them do the dirty work so I could get up as close as I wanted.

If a nice doe, or nice buck comes by I’m gonna kill.

Feels “Bucky” tonight.

Good luck fellas, and lady fellas.

Hard to believe we haven’t seen a deer yet this evening. Only turkeys so far that stayed out of range. It’s not over yet, but I’m already scheming about tomorrow morning.

Very softly bumped one right as I got to my tree. I think it was bedded which meant the primary bedding a little farther back must have been full. Didn't see anything come out guess I blew them out with that one.

5 mins ago I heard one stand up in the cattails. Just heard another rustle. It is taking its sweet time. Almost gotta be a buck... does usually don’t stand motionless.

Saw him he went the other way. He hooked up with some does east of me. Alfalfa is west. I have a chance. They’re 250 yards
