1 and done hunt
Yesterday morning watched a bird leave a field when I was hunting with my youngest. 30 minutes later heard a distance gobble that I assumed was him. Yesterday afternoon I scouted and found a field loaded up with birds. I noticed a lazy creek bottom heading back towards where I was that morning and decided that is where I would go this morning in hope of catching that bird moving from his roost to his strut area. It worked perfectly. I set up on the distant field and 30 minutes after 6 this guy came strutting and drumming to my area. I didnt call at all and he got whacked at 15 yards as he dreamt about my 2 decoys. Heckuva bird really... he had 5 busted fan feathers, super sharp spurs, and he was a "limb hanger". I sat another hour watching the sun rise. It was a fantastic 1st hunt for myself while the kids slept in.
Very cool detail... we had a freeze warning and heavy dew. He had a "beardsicle" when I turned him over. Super cool as I've never seen anything like it.

I would like to think it was your new "lucky" shirt that promoted all this carnage, but I know better. I think most shirts you wear are lucky. Congrats again

I actually wore them both as I wasnt prepared for 30° this morning. Really like them, to be honest I'd get more if there were different patterns.
