Lone wolf Assault 2 Vs XOP vanish

Unread postby Harris08 » Fri Apr 17, 2020 11:49 am

i have came to the conclusion that the tree saddle might not be for me this year and i would like to purchase a quality light weight stand. I have narrowed my opinion between the Lone wolf and XOP. If you guys had to choose just one , which is worth the money? what features does one have over the other and how do you pack you hang and hunt system ? All info on the topic would be greatly appreciated i am new to this style of hunting and want to gain as much info from guys with experience as i can

Lone Wolf because it’s American made. I believe the Assault is lighter as well. Both have basically the same features with easy hang systems. Some prefer the XOP pre hang brackets over the LW’s. I own an Assault and Alpha and I am happy with them.

I've owned both and the LW is far and above better than the XOP. From tolerance, extra flash on the platform and an overall package, the XOP just didnt do it for me. Dont be afraid to pick up a used American(not chinese ones they had for a stint) Assualt. I've been seeing them go up everywhere for cheap now that the LWCG and Saddles are the hot item.

I posted this question a few days ago. You can read the over-whelming response suggesting LW. That’s a the route I decided to go. It arrived yesterday. Looking forward to using it this year.

I was in the same boat before I bought my Assault 2. Lone Wolf is the way to go in my opinion. Little bit more expensive but I believe the quality is superb compared to XOP from the number of forums I have read on this subject.

I have the whole xop setup...stand and sticks. If i could do it over again id probably go with the lone wolf, while the xop isnt terrible it also isnt great either. It's also significantly heavier out of the box than what they claimed

Lone wolf all the way for all the reasons the others have already stated. Better built, better quality and made in USA.

Lone wolf all the way. I made the decision 3 years ago and no regrets. I have the assault ll and beast sticks, love this setup.
