Live from the field 2020

Unread postby muddy » Sat Apr 11, 2020 8:47 am

Guess I'll start out the 2020 thread. If there is one somewhere just delete this...

I believe turkey set ups were allowed even if its the deer forum.

Youth opener. I had a 3 hour "Brick" this morning and another one tomorrow morning so just doing afternoon hunts... which the kids prefer. Alex wants spurs, Olivia wants a legal bird. I am just psyched to be outside. Bumped one walking up to this fence corner, but this spot always seems to be solid later afternoon.

Could probably move this thread to turkey forum now I think about it...

Round 2. Managed to get set up on a big group but they're not playing nice. Left window, by the pines, 2 toms. They're toying with our emotions.

Had two gobblers burning it up this morning. Got within 100 yards and only called a couple times, they flew down and came right in to the Jake decoy. Had them dead to rights at 15 yards. Boom!! Boom!! Birds run away

I switched sides of the field. So did he.

I'd have killed him if I was where I was last night.
