7' Rubs?

Unread postby NEMAD » Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:50 am

Just curious if anyone has seen a rub this high up. Not convinced it's bucks hitting these bushes anymore or some other critter after seeing this one but they sure do prefer them if it is the case. My father calls them Russian Olive, not sure if that's accurate or not. Anyhow, this is him standing directly next to this rub and he's 5'11".

I'm not sure in that particular instance, but I have seen where a buck has bent a sapling right over and the rubs end up a lot farther on the tree than a normal rub would be.

That's a reasonable deduction I suppose. My father thought maybe if they got up on their hind quarters but I've personally never seen that behavior. Off topic but Claypool fan judging by your handle?
