Interesting doe observation
It's currently 9 degrees at the house right now and I can see a doe and fawn bedded within 80 yards of the house. They were bedded there yesterday morning in separate beds, but this morning, they're in the same bed. I'm assuming this is because of the temperature. Anyone else seen this before?

Not with deer but when I was a kid our cat would go into the dog house on the really cold nights. Only time all year they would get within 50' of eachother. Desperate times call for despereate measures I suppose.

Re: Interesting doe observation
Are they bedded together in the same bed? Or in the same beds as the day before?

The doe was bedded in the same bed as before, but this time the fawn was bedded with the doe in the does bed ie snuggling.

I sometimes feel bad hunting these animals.... true, but my boys love deer meat.
