Re: Stands
You can’t go wrong with a lone wolf assault 2 and lone wolf sticks to start out mobile. I’ve been using them the last 5 years. You can find them used has a bunch of guys are selling to go to saddles. I practiced my first summer a bunch then it becomes second nature to set up and hunt after awhile.

Re: Stands
I used to leave out ladder stands all year on private and just check/replace straps each off season. Theft became a problem. The stands I was using also developed creaks and groans that I couldn't get rid of (basic Summit ladder stand). That's probably the biggest downside to me of leaving one out, besides the likelihood of it being stolen.

Re: Stands
I have my one set up for public (millenium m7 and muddy pro sticks) that I take in and out every hunt, and then have mostly preset ladders on my private land; although I’ll end up using the hang and hunt set a few times on my private piece, ended up killing my monster buck out of it this year in fact.
Bowhunting is not for the faint of heart. But fortune favors the bowed.

The Menards special hang-ons.
Cheap and Idc if they get taken.
Though I have usually never had many issues.
