New Place, New Geography, New Climate

I’ve attached a picture of a new public place to hunt in central Texas. I’ve only hunted Arkansas and Kansas and don’t even know where to start.

Land is heavily pressured. Dry and warm. Mostly gun hunters and mostly over bait. Roads/trails everywhere. Some elevation changes but not extreme.

Cedar and post-oaks for trees with lots of grassy open areas. Won’t be on site until this summer. Is it even worth google-scouting?

Never hunted that terrain, but I do listen to the element podcast. They hunt public in Tx. Probably worth reaching out to them. Seem pretty helpful, at least from their show.
