How soon

Unread postby Moose » Sat Jan 04, 2020 3:34 am

How soon do you scout for beds after a fresh snow fall? Does it depend on the amount of snow? Or how windy it is before you scout? I really want to get into the beast mode for next season. I have never hunted beds before but after finding dan on youtube i love the idea and just orderd the farm country bedding dvd this morning. Im already pumped for next season! I live in SE Iowa and hunting private farms that do get pressured from 1st and 2nd season shotgun deer drives. I mainly have to hunt late muzzleloader since i will be harvesting corn and beans sept-nov. So any advice to someone that dont know much would be extremely helpful!

If we are talking about post season scouting I suggest doing it whenever you are able to... snow or no snow, wind or no wind, recent snow or old snow, dry ground, Tuesdays or other...

If you are referring to in season scouting because you have no idea what is going on in your hunting areas, the same applies.
