THP Zach's Nebraska Buck

Unread postby cspot » Fri Dec 13, 2019 11:33 am

Anyone watch episode #56 that was released last night. Zach stalks and kills a buck 7 miles in on public in Nebraska. Pretty cool hunt. I do admire one thing about Zach is that he isn't afraid to get aggressive. The buck moves off and he literally runs after it and then gets a shot.

There videos are really entertaining. So much of what they do is outside the box, just hunting down deer and killing them. Not the same old script as the hunting industry puts out.
I think it’s cool that they’ve stayed with the YouTube videos. I’m sure they are getting offers for hunting network shows.

Enjoyed it. I've run after bucks a few times. Never as far as Zach did, or in that open of an area. Got lucky and killed one once. But usually at least got another glimpse of them. My only concern was how cold they were all getting. I was glad to see Ted cooking some warm food and drink. Maybe they're all just tougher than me!!!!!

THP make great hunting videos. I listened to their last podcast and I swear Zach sounds like the hunting version of Jeff Spicoli.

I thought the same thing.
No cover whatsoever, miles -no, REALLY- miles- from vehicles, damp or wet and very windy.
They could have been in SERIOUS hypothermia situations very quickly.
They are tough kids, no doubt.

I watch their stuff and say, "that would be cool to do that" and then I remember I'm not a young male. Lol. I just do the best I can.

They are blast to watch.

hunter starting out.

They had to get deep this hunt.....as Zach said..those WI hunters love Neb.

They are really entertaining. I watch almost every video they put out. These three videos were awesome because I hunted that spot the end of September and early October. When I watched the first video I was like holy crap I know where they are I was standing right there. I didn't go back to where Zach shot his buck but my buddy and I talked about it but never made it back there. Where they shot the second buck I was hunting within a mile of it. Thought it was really cool. There is some nice bucks around there. Saw a really big 10 at 70 yards around there.

My kids were watching this before school today. I said man Zach is about the best hunter I've ever seen. My 6 year old snaps his head towards me almost angrily and says, no dad, the big buck serial killer is the best deer hunter. I had to explain that I said "about" the best deer hunter I've seen....Man, I hope there isn't a John Eberhart fan in kindergarten today or I might be getting a call from the principal.

yep, the last 2 videos of THP in Nebraska on the stalk for the bucks were enjoyable to watch. But that 6 mi walk in and 6 mi out with the addition of deer meat would have probably worn me out for a few days week. It is impressive they get right back at it. But I bet when they get home they crash for a couple of days from exhaustion.

Those guys are just deer slaying sobs. The way they just roll up to areas, figure it out, put in the work and succeed is impressive. I hope they never sell out to the traditional hunting industries. Their style of hunting isn't helping all the gimmick hunting companies, outfitters, etc. and I love it.
