Is a valley in Wisconsin Big Woods country a terrain type to target when scouting? The forest is your typical WI forest with swamps, but there is a pretty big river valley that sticks out to me on a map.
Thanks in advance.

Is the river shallow enough where deer would cross it without being pressured? If so, I would definitely check the river banks for trails where they feel comfortable crossing. Also look for oxbow points and scout for beds on these points. If this river valley is anything like the ones I hunt, there will be a lot of thick and nasty cover down there and mature deer love this!
Send me a PM if you would like me to take a look at maps and make some markings on areas of interest.
