Goal Set and Met; Thanks Again Dan!
Ever since I started implementing Dan's beast style tactics, I've been within bow range of more and more deer on every sit. Each following year I scout more, hunt less, and kill bigger, older bucks. This year was no exception. I made up my mind that I wanted to take a buck older than 3.5 this year. Because of all the post season scouting, I knew where I needed to set up and jumped from spot to spot; always pushing the edge. Passed up more shooter bucks this year than ever. My confidence grew with every sit, even if I didn't connect. I knew that my setups were dialed in and played the wind. It worked, and on November 4th I killed my biggest, oldest buck sneaking back to his marsh bed. Took him at 18 yards and he never knew I was there; not because of luck, but because the thermals and wind direction were where they needed to be for that set up. The buck was a main frame 8 pointer with a green score of 123". He was 4.5 years old. Thank you, again Dan! I would not have been able to set and meet this goal without all of your great advice. Thanks to all of you guys on here who've helped me reach my goals year after year as well!
God Bless,
Ed

Congratulations! It’s a great feeling when you are expecting a buck to do something and he does it just like you planned.
