I made it a goal this season to kill a mature public land buck. I scouted an area out durning muzzleloader season and put eyes on a good buck miles back in the National Forest. I planned my off days this year around cold fronts. I’ve always hunted a lot on the ground while hunting with a gun and this year was no different. I love to run and gun and love being at ground level. Day light broke and I wasn’t quite back to my target area so I started to still hunt the rest of the way. I heard this buck well before I put eyes on him and my ears are what helped me kill this buck. Check out the Video I am new to filming and this is my first season doing it. Hey bud, congratulations, I started taking hunting seriously last year and harvested 2 nice bucks from the ground. This year I hunted public for the first time and harvested a nice 8ptr... I'm in NC so they don't grow that huge here and was happy with the harvest. I need to be on the ground to feel like I'm really hunting so you won't catch me up a tree. I'm interested in learning all I can from you so hope that you will keep making vids.... congrats again.
