Lawn ornament trashed...
Got this in an email. Notice the dead buck in the background. Not sure if its real, or staged? but it sure looks real.

I don't know if this is the same one or not, but I do remember a blurp in a local paper that talked about this happening somewhere in Southern WI.

Yes I remember this from last fall.I saw it on the news. The owner said he might take the antlers from the whitetail and put them on the elk.

If it is real I wonder what killed the buck?

Two years ago my neighbors Delta buck was just thrashed from another buck. Antler punctures all over it.

Thought I would bring up an old thread........ I'm going to try this with my decoy this year, but I'm going to put mine out in a farmers field, with my wildlife eye watching over it. Hope to get some good footage at night of a bruiser destroying it !

I was also gonna try a decoy with a camera watching it . But only problem is I don't own one. I told friends of mine to look-out for a used decoy. Well finally last year , one of my female friends called . She was all excited said she found a decoy. Well when I opened the bag, it was'nt a whitetail. It was a PRONGHORN decoy. Bummer ! One of these days just for fun I.m gonna set it up. Black horns and all, along with a trailcam. Any guesses as too a whitetails reaction to it might be.

Saw it last year. Might be legit.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Looks like their wasn't a winner in that battle!
Yes, that was real. I remember seeing that last year. Somebody that lives nearby me had a concrete deer statue on there yard attacked as well but the buck was gone. Sometimes these bucks are not as smart as we give them credit for!!

Re: Lawn ornament trashed...
Last year, my cousin had a 3D target out behind his house for several weeks during the bow season. It was about the 1st week of NOV when he got out of bed and looked out his window, he noticed the target was knocked over and they had pushed the replaceable center right out of it.... also, tine marks all over the thing..... I said, man, too bad you didn't have a camera on it....
