LAST second shot...

Unread postby BowtechHunting » Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:59 pm

Well, it came down to the last second of the hunting season. I had a few around me just at dark and seen some bone glowing in the dark. He's a basket 6 point I seen around the area that needed to be culled out. I knew he wasn't much, but all I could think about was putting meat in the freezer. He was about 25 yards and I ended up poppin' him to far back just about the edge of the ribs. I found my arrow, luckily, covered in blood and paunch residue. I found a wade of white hair, no blood, because of the rain. So hopefully here at day light I can have some luck trackin' him down. I'll put pics up if I have any luck. :|

Well here is. We found him about 50 yards this morning. But I was skeptical about how well the shot placement was, so I doubtful and backed out until this morning. The sadder side of this is that coyotes found him quickly and had their fest during the night. Oh well, I was disappointed, would've liked to had some meat, but there is always next year. At least I didn't have a TAG sandwich!
