Most of my sets this year were 2 sticks high. Couple times used 3. I would say all my set were def below 20 ft….most below 15. Try to get just high enough to shoot over low brush but low enough that I am not skylined. Shot 2 bucks this year from the same stand at about 8 feet. They both stopped within 5 yards of my tree and looked directly at me but were not spooked and continued on. Not great cover in the tree I was in….was an 8 in pine with few limbs until the top. The trees AROUND me were thick pines and oaks that kept me from being skylined. That to me is the most important. Keep below the surrounding cover to keep from getting skylined.

I agree. Another I don’t like about being too high is the shot angles are terrible. I don’t want to aim high lung on the near side just to hit clip low lung on the other side. That’s from a bow hunting perspective though, I don’t gun hunt. If I hunted with a rifle, I can see hunting out of higher setups with far visibility because I could reach out and touch the deer I want with a rifle.

I'm usually 13-15 feet up.

Got picked off immediately this year. Was in a palm tree and was ready to shoot but he just walked out, his eyes got big and he kept walking, turned back into cover.

Super duper high, but never stoned
Bowhunting is not for the faint of heart. But fortune favors the bowed.

I have hunted as low as 6' and as high as 25', But most of time I'm between 12'-16'.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

As high as the setup calls for. I don’t have a desired height and pick it based off of shot holes and cover. I’ve been noticing an obsession with less and less sticks and lower and lower heights. One thing about the hunting industry is it is never short of fads.lol.
