South Dakota Pheasants
I've been going for 25 years now and was lucky enough to head out there twice this last year. Any other pheasant junkies around?

I was talking with my cousin today (Arrowbenders brother) he said he just ran a piece of equipment from Northern KS across NE into SD and saw many many pheasants. He said they were everywhere.

When I'm out there deer hunting, I see and hear many pheasants. I'm willing to trade deer info for pheasant info.

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Re: South Dakota Pheasants
Last year was my first year out there, loved it. Headed back out this fall after Thanksgiving with my dad and father-in-law. Last year we did all public land in late seasone. We saw alot of birds and were relatively successful, considering all rookies. But I worked them old guys too hard, this year they want private land and less miles. So we will try it that way!
