What is your favorite time of day to scout?

I'm just curious to see what is everyones favorite time of day to scout. I like to take off early on the weekends and leave my truck right about at daybreak. That way I can be out to my desired spot just as the sun is getting into a position to see everything nice and clearly. But, there are probably some of you who like to do it differantly, lets say you prefer to scout midday or in the evenings. What are the reasons for your favorite time of day to scout and why?

I scout anytime that I can get away. Late winter and spring.
Glass early and late, same for observation stands. Summer and fall.

In season scout about the same (anytime). I may still hunt midday, especially if I am out of state. Basically scouting with a bow in my hand, cause you never know.

Given a choice in the off season, I like scouting as soon as there is good light. I seem to have less urgency and can take my time figuring everything out. If I start later in the day, it seems you've always got home or work lurking in the back of your mind. That being said, I'll scout anytime I can. During the season, my favorite time of day is when it rains or snows, etc.

i really enjoy scouting/shed hunting on nasty weather days. windy=quieter, wet=less scent . but all of it usually= i have the woods to myself cause most dont go out if the weather isnt good!

Whenever my wife says I can go! I like scouting after a fresh snow or rain so I can see fresh tracks and determine if any deer have moved recently. I like to scout during a rain shower to to keep my stink to a minimum especially in season if I'm spot checking an area.

But the coolest moment for me is on the early morning any seasons...We the mother nature When natural mother welcome the sun in its week-up.

Favorite time? Im always scouting, wether its eves dropping on a conversation about deer damage, or slipping a "I would really like to hunt your property" into a work conversation. Or Maybe you strike a conversation with someone just cause he is dressed in camo.. Then there are the non-hunters who give you reports on where they saw some huge buck... Some of my best plans on how to hunt a certain buck derived while I was at work, or laying awake in bed...

Oh... Wait, you were talking about scouting in the woods wern't you? My bad...

I was talking a scouting in the woods. But, I get the drift, one can scout where ever he is at, at all times

I guess that is a good practice that some of us may overlook sometimes.

I get out whenever I can. I focus on after the season, later winter and then spring before the foliage blooms. In the summer I tend to watch for deer sometimes at long distance in places. I'll check out my spots usually right before the opener and then also right before rut.

I do listen up like dan said to what other people are saying. I always talk deer with certain people I run into that I know think deer all the time like me. Its enjoyable. The girls on the bus that I take to work are a very good source of info-you would be surprised at the detail. If their husbands/boyfriends knew what was being said there would be some quick domestic disturbances I think. They even show me pictures of the deer their significant others bag that they have on their phones! You can't ask to many specific probing questions, but just short generic ones that seem harmless, but really aren't.
