Nice Dewey! Looks like a marsh buck in the first pic (love those). What's the story on him?

Actually both bucks are marsh bucks along with pretty much every other buck I have shot as well. I do at least 80% of my hunting in public cattail marshes.

The first buck I posted was shot during the peak of the rut on Nov. 2nd 2008. He was chasing a doe through the cattails and I gave him a few grunts on my call because he looked like he was not going to come down the trail I was on. Unbelievably he left the doe and came towards me looking for the source of the buck grunt. The only problem was as I came to full draw he noticed me in the tree at 12 yards and did a staredown with me for what seemed like eternity but was actually only 30 seconds or so. He knew something wasn't right so he turned to go back the way he came and as he turned quartering away I drilled him thru both lungs. In the deep water in the cattails he ran and then all was quiet so I figured he was down. We went back later that night and shortly after found my arrow and then the cattails were painted red with blood on both sides. Surprisingly he made it about 100 yards before dying in 2-3 feet of water!!

The second buck I posted was shot exactly on year later out of the exact same tree believe it or not!!!!

This past season on November 2nd I had my best day of hunting ever out of the same tree. I saw 4 P & Y bucks in an all day sit out of that tree and somehow never connected on one.

I only hunt that tree a few times each season and only when the wind and other conditions are absolutely perfect.

I'm sure you can guess where I will be sitting again November 2nd 2011!! :D

Well, no wood pigeon in the American continent.
You have some pigeon, but not tasty as the wood one... But a game pretty close even if smaller are the dove...
hope it'll answer to you!

Since there are fish trophys here too. Here's one of my best. A 70lb cod, released alive. They don't come much bigger than this these days, ones this size are as rare as 200" bucks...
