the pic's I posted were borrowed from another member who posted them here... There are a ton of pho0to's of that buck bedded for a span of time sleeping with his rack like that...

I'll re-post my thought and say it's likely more antlers rubbing than anything, but will stick to my guns that sometimes a fence can cause rubbage.
