There is nothing like Canada. Sounds like you had a great trip. 8-) Can't wait to see the pics.
Two years ago my Dad and I did a fly-in outpost trip along the Ontario/Manitoba border 200 miles NW of Red Lake and averaged easily over 100 walleyes a day with nothing less than 18" and we didn't really fish that hard! It's really hard to fish in WI again after being spoiled like that. We will be going up again in August to Lake Of The Woods for Musky. The biggest Musky I caught in WI was 44" and I hope to break that in Canada but my goal is to help my Dad get a good fish first. He doesn't have too many good fishing years left and I really want to see him nail a slob.

I've been to Armstrong Ontario 2 years in a row. It's about 3 hours North of Thunder Bay. 13 hour drive from Green Bay. We did a fly in both times and yes the fishing is unreal! We didn't start keeping our supper til damn near dark which is about 11pm :D The northern lights were awesome! Great experience would love to go again! The mosquitoes damn near killed me though! They are giant hybrids or something

We were on Southwest Lake. We loved it up there and the Hartle's are great people. It's a little more flying time switching planes at Sandy Lake but that just adds to the excellent adventure.
We hope to get up there again soon and would like to try Burnt or Cocos Lakes. Which one did you stay on?
I would love to see some pics!!

I see you were on Burnt Lake. Great pics of the huge pike!

They added solar panels 2 years ago to all of the cabin's, which is really nice for an outpost camp. In the past all of their outpost's had propane lights only. I love the seclusion of a outpost camp and being cut off from every day life. Time does not matter and absolutely no distractions other than catching ton's of fish. One day I kept track and I had 56 casts in a row catching a walleye or a pike on every cast!!!
It was so unbelievable it was silly!! :D :D :D

Your pictures really make me wish I was going up there again this year but we are already committed to LOTW for Musky. Maybe next year.
