Re: Gun or bow?
I voted gun, but I would like to shoot one with a bow, this will be my third year Turkey hunting, and I've yet to shoot a turkey so, the gun will be my weapon of choice, I missed a nice Tom with my bow opening morning of my first season, and last season I had a missed chance at a nice Tom because my gun misfired, So maybe I can nail one this season....

Re: Gun or bow?
I do both but I voted bow since I prefer the bow. Here is a nice WI tom I shot with my bow. He strutted by at 4 yards. 24.5 lbs., 10.5" beard, spurs were 1 1/8" and 7/8".

I have not been real serious about turkey hunting yet. Maybe this year.

Bow only for the last few years, I finally killed my first archery turkey with it this fall.

Re: Gun or bow?
I voted gun, but the way I hunt; sneak, stalk, and set and reset a lot, I take a lot of long shots.
But after last year stalking with crossbow during our fall deer archery (due to reg change full inclusion in southern MI) I am addicted to this weapon. So I am going to try Spring turkey with the crossbow this year. I got into and out of turkeys a couple of times last fall, just for fun. It was satisfying just to get into position and then back out with out getting busted from a fall flock a couple of times.
I may not fully retire my turkey gun. Single shot 3 1/2" 12 gauge, it is light mobile and can really reach out.

I love bowhunting more than anything but the way I run n gun on public land I need my gun for turkeys! If I had private land to hunt turkeys maybe I'd sit in a blind and wait em out longer? I give credit to anyone who's hunted them with a bow because they are hard enough to kill with the gun in spring!!

Re: Gun or bow?
I bring both, But I hunted last year strictly with my Bow. I would prefer the Bow over the shotgun. Either way it is trip
